HealthStream Earns HFMA's Peer Review Designation
With over 1.7 million users, HealthStream's HLC is used by approximately one out of every three employees working in the nation's acute-care hospitals, making it the most adopted learning platform in the industry. Designed specifically to meet the unique needs of healthcare organizations, the HLC is used to support their learning initiatives, enterprise-wide, that help to create safer environments for patients, increase clinical competencies of their workforces, and facilitate the rapid transfer of the latest knowledge and technologies.
"We are extremely pleased to have earned Peer Review status for our HLC," said Robert A. Frist, Jr., chief executive officer, HealthStream. "It is particularly gratifying to know that our hospital customers who participated in the evaluation, as well as independent experts, gave our learning management system high marks for its quality, ease of use, return on investment, and effectiveness in supporting a wide range of learning initiatives."
The Peer Review Process
HFMA's Peer Review is a structured process that validates the accuracy, effectiveness, marketplace acceptance and value of products and services that HFMA members are currently using. The goal of the review is to identify products and services that deliver organizational savings and performance improvement that enhance HFMA members' day-to-day business interactions and careers. Criteria for a product to display the HFMA Peer Review designation include high survey scores for:
-- Enhanced productivity for the individual user and for the customer's organization;
-- Ease of installation and use;
-- Accuracy and reliability;
-- Good value for price;
-- Excellent technical support and customer service; and
-- An overall positive rating from reviewers based on a quantitative scale
"Peer Review provides an objective third party evaluation of products and services used in the healthcare finance workplace," said HFMA President and CEO Richard L. Clarke, DHA, FHFMA. "Products earning the Peer Review designation have demonstrated their value and effectiveness as a business solution. I congratulate HealthStream and its HealthStream Learning Center® product on earning HFMA's Peer Review designation."
